Got this for my kid who is in high school he is extremely hard on his backpack and this has held up fantastically. Fits all his books and his water bottle with our issue. Tough and just what he needs worth the money and then some.I liked a lotLove this bag, and the color (graphite) is so awesome! I waited years to buy a NORTH FACE, and I love it!I bought my first Recon in 2010 and it served me well till the present time. Probably the best backpack there was and still is.Even though I am satisfied with the style of the new Recon I see that it is as a step down in quality of materials. One look at the handle materials shows you how much the quality has deteriorated. No surprise it costs $99. This backpack will never last 10 years. It is not worth it. The North Face knows how to make good backpacks and I hope they will restart making them soon.This backpack, intended for a laptop and additional gear, is quality constructed, spacious, with ample space for office/job related items or clothing and personal gear. My son loves it, for work and play.Great bag bought it for my wife she loves all the room to pack things into it we are commuter’s so a good back pack is needed. Comfortable steps makes great for men and women.So disappointing! This bag barely fits a binder, small soft-sided lunch bag and Chromebook. The water bottle pockets are well designed. Overall, this bag is almost useless for my 7th grader and will not last him for years as I had hoped.He loves it. Much more stylish than his old LL Bean one, and the water bottle pocket is PERFECT. Kids have to bring larger water bottles to school now, and the larger pouch fits the larger bottles without the spill risk that's so prevalent in most kids' backpacks. Liked it so much, we bought the same in another color for his twin brother.
