I just got this pack a few days ago so I can't judge the durability of the thin nylon ripstop fabric yet (more on that later).I packed some things in it and wore it around the house for a bit. It is comfortable and holds a ton of stuff. It has a lot of organization; it is a 5 rating on pack design. Especially the modular pocket. I like the 3 small individual pouches in the middle sized pocket. You can store a lot just in those items and see what is in them because they are mesh. I like that I can have one pouch for survival items, one for first aid, and one for hygiene items. The admin pocket is also fairly nice. The overall design and layout of the bag is great. 5 different sized pockets is amazing. Plus separate compartments in the main pocket for a laptop and hydration bladder. All great features. The aluminum stays and very padded mesh back are very comfortable and provide good support. The build quality seems pretty good as do the zippers, which are the self sealing type to reduce water penetration.I weighed the pack and it is 3 lbs 3 oz.; pretty light for a decent sized pack.I have two gripes that may be unfounded, time will tell: 1) I wish the shoulder pads were a more padded. They took out some foam for the "lite" model. I wish they added a couple ounces more foam in the shoulder straps. I worry they will get uncomfortable after much use. That said, they feel fairly comfortable initially, just not very thick. I haven't taken the pack on a hike or anything yet so I can't judge long term comfort. Short term comfort was good.2) The ripstop nylon material is thinner than I expected it to be. I hope it holds up as well as the heavier cordura would. I have another ripstop nylon pack that is Nathan brand and it is a thicker, more stiff material. I'll trust the lifetime warranty that it is indeed hopefully strong stuff. Time will tell on that.
