Wanted a “modern” ALICE pack and this was it!! You can slide an ALICE pack frame with kidney belt in there, detach the straps and reattach them to the frame and clip the pack hip belt around the frame and your ready to rock!! I am active duty military and i used this for a few training evolutions and it holds up!! I even had to carry an 81mm mortar can with dirt in it for a little over 3 miles without the frame. (It was a last minute decision so my squad didnt need two people to carry it by hand).Spec Ops does a horrible job in describing this great product.
