Nurse here and use this bag for my shifts and school. I'm able to fit 3 very large textbooks, my 17" laptop (good luck finding a bag that can hold this size laptop or larger in a specific protective pocket), a couple binders full of papers/notes, a clipboard, spare scrubs, and can fit much more. It's beyond what Jansport has to offer in terms of durability and storage space. You can even fit 2 water bottles or Yeti's/Thermos bottles on the side pockets, which is nice. I like how you can even "adjust" the overall size of the bag with the side straps that encapsulate the sides of the bag, if this makes sense. If you want to carry only a couple things, you can tighten up the sides to make sure the bag doesn't look like a lumpy potato. Best bag I've ever owned and expect it to hold up for years to come! Also, it's great on the shoulders to carry as the straps are wide and pretty comfy.A LOT MORE ROOM BUT WISH IT HAD A BETTER VARIETY OF COLORSIt is nicegreat for traveling, packs lots of clothes, tons of pockets. comfortable to wear. replaced a 5.11 rush 24 that broker after 9 years. this bag is way softer, nicer, and also can be very slim when empty for storage due to the straps that let u tighten itIt's not TSA friendly, but apart from that it works really well. The compartments are large, though I wish more subdivided, it's great if you need to carry larger items. Good quality, comfortable for carrying laptop, plus books and gym clothes all at the same time.I needed a laptop that would help me with my Interior Design classes. The Acer Predator Helios 300 was the best one I could find. Finding a bookbag that was large enough to carry it was a different story. The North Face Router backpack fit my laptop perfectly and will have enough room for books and other school supplies.
