Its time for a review. I’m personally a big fan of backpacks, specifically edc packs. I was in the market for a simplified and lightweight bag, I first ordered a competitor bag but found it to be too akwardly shaped for the size, and I immediately knew it was not a keeper. If I was going to spend that kind of money I would have to spend it on the perfect edc bag that I would wear for years to come. So far I have taken this bag on trips abroad and its been an amazing “personal item” bag that fits perfectly under the plane seat. It has been with me everywhere I go since I got it a couple of months ago, and will continue to serve me well, I am very confident of it.Super light weight backpack, rides up a bit higher, so doesn't stress the back at all. Love the laptop compartment. The first day I used it I got caught in a complete snow and rain downpour walking from Grand Central Station to the west side of Manhattan. I was drenched after the 45 minute trek. But everything in my new backpack was totally dry. This is fully water proof, not water resistant, water PROOF. The rain and snow beaded up completely, not a drop inside the bag (thank goodness, because my macbook air was in there along with my iPad, in it's own slip pocket in the main compartment, and an iPhone 6+, my wallet and 2 moleskine notebooks and a fountain pen - this could have been a disaster). The zippers are fully covered, not a leak to be found. The shoulder straps looked thin to me, but they're padded, and because of how the bag sits, they don't cut into your shoulders at all. I also cannot believe how much stuff I can get in this thing. Besides the aforementioned tech, I can bring my gym clothes, shoes, my lunch, an umbrella and a water bottle. The water bottle fits into the side pockets on the laptop versions, but doesn't on the regular Kanken backpack, duly noted. My only wish is that the small front pocket on the front were slightly bigger. But all in all, this is a fantastic bag and a great value compared to more expensive brands like Tumi (yup, had one of those, too...the zippers totally leaked and the bag itself got damp and soggy). It's kind of minimalist, and for some reason reminds me of something out of the 70's that might have been sold in the sleeping bag section at a farm implement store. But it was designed for Swedish school kids, so who can argue with that? Serves my needs as a commuter backpack perfectly. Will I take it into the board room with me? I thoroughly checked the backpack since I've read numerous reviews about fake Kanken's out there, and everything seems authentic on this bag! I've seen/felt real kanken backpacks in retail stores (like Nordstrom), so I was familiar with the look, color and texture of the fabric. I checked all the tags, the material the stitching & zippers/buttons and everything appears to be spot on authentic. If it's a fake, it's a darn good one!I would say you have nothing to fear from ordering from seller Tactical Ops. I'm quite certain my Kanken is authentic at a price that is slightly less than manufacturer price. I'm going back for more colors, maybe in the mini size!(I forgot to mention that the tag in mine says it's made in Vietnam)Great little bag. Used it over a 2 week holiday in New York over the holidays.What I liked:- Zips all the way down, really helps getting things that I placed at the bottom of the bag without the hassle of taking everything out- Sturdy, not a flimsy bag- Light, very important to me since I was doing a lot of walking- Top Handle, I love the option to hold it on the top handlesWhat I did not like:- Straps, wearing my winter puffy Jacket, these straps kept sliding off. Without my jacket the bag is very comfortable.- I saw more women then men wearing this bag... questioned my choice of buying this bag, but I still like it and will be using it =DPerfect size for my laptop, purse, umbrella and lunchbox!!!I ordered a classic one before and find it Ian a little small,so I bought this 15inch laptop version. It feels softer than the classic one. The only thing I don’t like about it is the white spots on this, it might be due to the color. My classic one was forest green with ox red handle the color was even and solid. Other than the weird white stain, everything else is perfect and comfortable to wear.Purchased for my boyfriend. He’s going to grad school and I wanted to give him something a bit more “grown up” in terms of a backpack. When I first saw it, I was a bit worried that it would be too small. Also, the straps looked a bit thin to me. However, since using it, my boyfriend has had nothing but great things to say. Even the straps are comfortable! I can see why this backpack has such a following. I did extensive research but needed to see it in use for myself. Now I want one!Der als Original Kånken von Fjällraven ausgegebene Rucksack ist kein Original. Er ist ein sehr sehr gutes Imitat. (Reflexion, richtige Knöpfe etc.)Erkennbar an: dem Schild. Es müssten mehrere Zettel mit dem Symbol des Könighauses darauf sein. Dieses muss farbig sein. Außerden müssen die Reißverschlüsse wenn sie zusammengezogen werden "fjällraven" statt dem fuchs zeigen.Außerdem stinkt dieses Imitat extrem stark und färbt ab --> kauft bitte das Original, denn Fjällraven beteiligt sich bei jedem Verkauf sowohl an Artenerhaltung, als auch dem Klimaschutz. Nicht mal wirklich billige Imitate schaden also nicht nur dem Ruf und der Marke, sondern letztlich auch den Organisationen, die eigentlich unterstützt werden sollen!Wow.Backpack is very specious, durable and comfortable, and don’t forget good looking. Used on my travels to Asia, held perfectly in all conditions. Just one small notice choose colour wisely because darker colour will worn after extensive use, but still quality product and original!Would recommendHabe eine Fälschung erhalten. Perfect size and easily fits my large iPad in the laptop compartment, with plenty of room in the front. Stylish and well made. I almost went the larger 17” version of the laptop bag but so glad I didn’t as this is the perfect size for my needs. Very happy with purchase!Plain but handsome. Backpack itself is lightweight and has plenty of space inside.However, a couple of pen holders would have been great.
